The Project Manager, Technical Services and Emerging Technologies, will be responsible for managing one project or multiple projects. They will keep management aware of possible risks and appropriate contingencies, and will ensure that quality is achieved and appropriate architecture or solution is produced and adhered to for each project.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years project management experience plus additional experience planning, installing, configuring and implementing diverse systems.

Successful candidates will have strong analytical and problem solving skills with a self-starter mentality and strong leadership skills. They will have the ability to lead a team of internal technical resources to achieve desired results. Candidates will possess strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both written and verbally with customers and management. Successful candidates will have technical awareness; as well as an ability to think and act strategically. Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to analyze IT business requirements, define/design appropriate IT solution, create detailed project plans and schedules, and monitor/control project execution. Ability to communicate project status to ensure project is meeting customer expectations. Ability to work closely with customers to develop and manage implementation phase. Strong ability to manage day-to-day implementation details of project to ensure project is meeting timelines and objectives.

Experience in managing implementation projects. Self-starter mentality and strong leadership skills. A Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. Business travel in Stamford, CT office is required. Primary job location: New York, NY.

Possible areas of work: Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Telecommunications, wireless technologies, video conferencing, Blackberry Enterprise Server, hardware upgrade and refresh, software image testing, laptop deployment, process improvement, data center build out, cabling and infrastructure upgrade, and VoIP.

In addition to project work , this position will augment the help desk as needed. Candidate is required to field customer calls, update and monitor ticket systems, and respond to emails. Incoming issues will require problem identification, research, and resolution or escalation to technical support. The candidate must possess strong attention to detail, the ability to multi task, and thorough documentation skills. Person identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes customer problems and complaints to ensure that inquiries are resolved appropriately.

Typical issues include desktop support, remote connectivity, and application support. Person must know and be expert in all MS Office apps, including Outlook, Windows 2000 and XP.
