Mid Level Linux Server Administrator/Engineer
Looking for a mid level 3-5 years /Linux Server Administrator/Engineer who has strong knowledge of hardware and software. The role is an excellent opportunity to work alongside of business and development managers and play a key part in the design and rollout of future infrastructure solutions. The Unix team will provide third level support for the server infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include building and supporting the Disaster Recovery initiatives for our clients business and ensuring Infrastructure compliance against security baseline and Audit requirements as well as conforming to Federal Regulatory requirements. Work with our Engineering team to review OS standards and provide feedback on operational status of new technologies 3-5 years Linux Support or Engineering Thorough knowledge of Linux clustering and other associated enterprise technologies Experience of blade server technologies (IBM, HP, Egenera)
Thorough knowledge of Linux O/S (RedHat and/or SLES) Strong knowledge of EMC SAN technologies and storage replication Knowledge of capacity planning and utilisation techniques Excellent TCP/IP networking skills
Pluses are Windows or UNIX knowledge; Knowledge of Perl/scripting, Solaris Zones Virtualization, UNIX/NT integration and compatibility issues Experience of network systems, thin client experience (Citrix / VPN solutions.
