My Clent has offices in New York, Jersey City, London, Paris, Singapore, and Tokyo. It is a asset manager historically focused on US and global fixed income portfolios for institutional clients. In recent years, the firm has also developed an expertise in structured products and hedge funds.

Currently, we have an excellent career opportunity for an Information Technology Specialist. The candidate will be part of the infrastructure group and as such will be instrumental with active participation in all current and future technology upgrade, migration, and implementation. Provide all level of support on various technologies within the infrastructure. Work very closely with other team members in London, Singapore and Tokyo, dealing with all technology issues, including remote support. The candidate should have the ability to handle multiple projects, and to provide detailed and comprehensive project analysis. Demonstrate the ability to interact with different technologies with good project management, resourceful, and adhere to various procedures, execute successfully and independently. The candidate should have the characteristics of an analytic, problem solver, thorough and detail oriented with strong communication and written skills. The position involve heavy interaction with corporate employee at various level such as; management, portfolio managers, analysts, admin staff, operations, and developers.

Technology Environment:

The infrastructure group are responsible for all technology adopted by the firm, the candidate should make the initiatives in participating and excel in different technologies includes but not limited to; Windows 2003 servers, Windows XP workstation standard build and deployment, Microsoft Active Directory management, Microsoft TCP/IP suites with DDNS and LDAP management, Microsoft office 2003, SMS 2003, WSUS 3.0, Windows Scripting, Citrix terminal servers, Lotus Domino R6, BrightStor backup management, Checkpoint Firewall with VPN technology, Cisco technology, routers and layer 3 switches, Cisco PIX management and support, Storage Area Network, WAN accelerations, Proxy Cache and internet technology. network management tools and events logs management.

Requirements

Required skills

• Strong hands-on knowledge (installation, configuration, and administration) of Active Directory 2003 environment, with comprehensive working knowledge of Active Directory architecture, structure and functions; AD Roles, Schema changes, replication and Domain Controllers management, Organization unit’s design and functions, group policies configuration and security policy operations.

• Strong hands on knowledge in Microsoft TCP/IP in a DDNS configuration using Microsoft Active Directory DNS, DDNS, DHCP and LDAP implementation with client’s management and control.

• Strong understanding of general networks configuration, troubleshooting and performance management utilizing Cisco Layer 3 switching and routing protocol.

• Strong hands on knowledge with internet routing techniques, DNS management and zone file management, MX records, proxy and reverse proxy configuration and support and other internet related technology and configuration.

• Working knowledge with application load balancing and clustering technology such as Netscaler and/or F5 and VPN SSL.

• Firewall management, utilizing Checkpoint enterprise suite with strong VPN IPSEC configuration and remote VPN knowledge and Cisco PIX firewall management.

• Configuration and support knowledge of either Microsoft virtual server or VMware EX virtual server.

• Storage management knowledge – SAN or NAS implementation and support in Microsoft SQL environment, data replications, and storage performance tuning.

• Logs and events management, support and administration of several network and systems alert management tools in place, such as CiscoWorks, LanGuard, NetIQ, GSX, Solarwinds, EtherPeek NX and others vital monitoring and events management technology.

Desired skills

• Hands-on knowledge of Solaris systems administration on SUNFire hardware.

• Hands-on knowledge of Linux operating systems.

• Lotus Domino enterprise R6 and R7 administration and support.
